Childcare Assistant Coordinator Job

The role of a Childcare Assistant Coordinator is to support the development and implementation of childcare programs in a safe and nurturing environment.

This position involves assisting in planning, preparation, and evaluation of programs according to national quality standards. It also requires active supervision of children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

A successful candidate will have relevant qualifications in childcare or teaching, such as a diploma in children's services. They will also have experience in programming and administration, as well as knowledge of the National Quality Framework.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced coordinators to develop and implement age-appropriate programs that promote children's learning and development. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the childcare service.

  • Supports the development and implementation of childcare programs in line with NQF requirements.
  • Undertakes active and safe supervision of children to ensure duty of care is met at all times.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports of children's observations and progress.
  • Assists in the provision of inclusive practices for children with additional needs.
  • Provides age-appropriate resources and activities that allow children to make independent choices and connections.
