Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving fixed plant assets within the facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working in an industry with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability.

  • Provide automation control systems technical support and advanced problem-solving and fault-finding.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations to understand critical failures and implement improvement actions.
  • Implement asset and cost improvement projects to increase efficiency and minimize costs.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development of maintenance strategies and capital project plans to improve asset reliability.
  2. Assist in identifying and closing technical knowledge gaps within the team.
  3. Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational requirements and meet scheduling demands.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Systems engineering.
  • A commitment to safety and wellbeing.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
