
Engineering Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving fixed plant assets within the facility.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working in an industry with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability.
- Provide automation control systems technical support and advanced problem-solving and fault-finding.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations to understand critical failures and implement improvement actions.
- Implement asset and cost improvement projects to increase efficiency and minimize costs.
- Support the development of maintenance strategies and capital project plans to improve asset reliability.
- Assist in identifying and closing technical knowledge gaps within the team.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational requirements and meet scheduling demands.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Systems engineering.
- A commitment to safety and wellbeing.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
