About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As a Disability Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing active support and engaging with individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence, and empowering them to live life on their own terms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality direct support to service users, aligning with their individual needs, support plans, and program requirements.
  • Develop and implement development programs to enhance service users' skills, promoting independence, personal growth, and community inclusion.
  • Assist in delivering programs that foster social networks and community activities, ensuring service users' participation and engagement.
  • Provide night-time routine and support as required, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent Disability-related qualification.
  • A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate.
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with service users and support their Individual Personal Plan.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for these roles.
Roster Splits

The roster splits for this role are 69:30/61:30, consisting of a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, including 5 sleepover shifts per month. Please consider travel times from your residential area before applying.
