About the Role

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer - Mining at Stantec, you will be responsible for leading and growing our mechanical technical discipline, ensuring profitability, timely delivery, and client satisfaction. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of the business plan, contributing to growing the Energy & Resources Business, and providing technical leadership to complex multi-disciplinary mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the development and implementation of the business plan
* Contribute to growing the Energy & Resources Business
* Provide technical leadership to complex multi-disciplinary mining projects
* Guide, support, and mentor engineers, designers, clients, and stakeholders to deliver significant programs of work
* Engage in marketing and business development with external and internal clients

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in engineering – Mechanical, minimum 12 years of progressively responsible technical and management experience, professional registration and commitment to gain appropriate Australian registration, project management experience and certifications, development of a strong network in the local and national marketplace, exceptional organisational, technical, leadership, written, and oral communication skills, and proven experience successfully delivering complex projects, working with high performing teams.
