Irrigation Specialist

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring plant water use and managing irrigation scheduling to meet targets. This will involve daily computer programming to ensure optimal operation of irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage irrigation scheduling to meet targets
• Perform daily computer programming to optimize irrigation system operation
• Ensure optimal operation of irrigation systems
• Scout blocks for irrigation and plant health issues, and report major issues to the Irrigation Manager and/or horticulture team
• Carry out preventative maintenance following a schedule
• Repair irrigation system pumps, pipework, and fittings
• Clean filters, repair, and maintain filter sets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be capable of undertaking a moderate level of physical activity, including regular walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. You will also need to have a willingness to work outside, excellent attendance, and a strong attitude.

• Have a background in agricultural or horticultural experience (desired but not essential)
