Parts Procurement Specialist

The ideal candidate will contribute to the successful daily operations of our organization by ensuring timely and accurate entry of parts information, processing of purchase orders, and maintenance of procurement-related data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update comprehensive parts catalogues with accurate part numbers, descriptions, and specifications entered into inventory systems.
  • Coordinate freight and sales activities in a timely manner to ensure seamless logistics.
  • Maintain and update existing data management systems to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Establish effective relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm part details, availability, and changes.
  • Collaborate with freight companies and drivers regarding transport-related matters to guarantee smooth delivery.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue orders to prevent delays.
  • Ensure timely delivery of parts by following up on purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Identify and resolve delays in the supply chain to minimize disruptions.
  • Implement quality administration practices to maintain high standards.
  • Manage and action all incoming emails and inquiries efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated can-do attitude with initiative and ownership.
  • Excellent attention to detail in tracking and reporting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Mining, FMCG, or manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or procurement software systems (MS Dynamics highly desirable).
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and order timelines.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
