We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team at ALG Talent in Rockhampton Airport. As a Spray Painter, you will be responsible for preparing paint to the desired colour and consistency, readying spraying equipment, conducting rust repairs, and applying decals to machinery and aircraft-related tooling.

To excel in this role, you should possess a qualification in spray painting, a valid driver's license, experience with power and hand tools, and previous work experience in a maintenance environment. You should also be willing to undergo a comprehensive security clearance process and drug and alcohol testing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare paint to the desired colour and consistency.
  • Ready spraying equipment by cleaning and adjusting spray guns.
  • Conduct rust repairs and prepare surfaces for paint.
  • Remove equipment components, prepare/paint, and reinstall.
  • Clean equipment/machinery slated for painting.
  • Mask areas before applying paint with a spray gun or brush.
  • Apply decals to machinery and aircraft-related tooling & group support equipment.
  • Paint aircraft-related tooling and other specific built jet base ground support equipment & machinery.
  • Maintain stock levels of all items necessary for duty completion.
  • Manage occupational health and safety (OH&S) and environmental hazards in the paint bay and workplace.
