About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Warehouse Developer to join our team at Bluefin Resources. As a key member of our data strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the transformation of our organization's data strategy.

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity that will run until March 2026. You will be based in Sydney, with a 50/50 split of working from home and in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform systems analysis and design of changes to systems, ensuring they align with our enterprise architecture and standards.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of tools and software packages used, and undertake relevant research to evaluate new software, tools, and techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and peers to refine business requirements and ensure they are met.
  • Comply with and contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for software development, as well as tool selection.
  • Lead the identification/breakdown of development components and tasks, as well as estimations.
  • Guide other developers as they work through development decisions.
  • Support cross-team collaboration and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Undertake the coding for systems, as well as integration software services and perform code reviews for other developers.
  • Ensure written unit and integration tests for all developed code follow standards and maintain test coverage.
  • Perform releases to test and production systems and manage the release and run process of new code into these environments.
Requirements
  • Proven SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS skills.
  • Proven experience designing data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016 and above.
  • Have a curious and accountable mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
