About the Role

Pacific National is seeking a qualified locomotive driver to join our team in Bowen, QLD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving trains safely and efficiently, while adhering to current regulations and meeting daily operational train plans and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive locomotives safely and in line with regulations.
  • Work within the Newlands system and support depots across Central Queensland.
  • Liaise with train controllers and customers to ensure schedules are met.
  • Conduct minor maintenance, provisioning, and preparation of relevant compliance documents.
  • Adhere to safe working regulations and requirements of driver accreditation in a heavy haul operating environment.
  • Liaise with Train Control regarding the operation of the train schedules and efficiencies.
About You

We are looking for a qualified locomotive driver with relevant accreditation, a Certificate IV in Train Driving, and an unrestricted Queensland Driver's Licence. Experience with ECP and Distributed Power is advantageous. You will also need to be willing to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
