Job Opportunity

This is a high-level role within the ACCC, reporting to senior management and leading investigations, competition analysis and litigation.

As a senior professional, you will work closely with Directors to identify and analyse relevant information, develop plans for investigations and projects, and provide recommendations.

  • Leading teams to identify and analyse relevant information to draw evidence-based conclusions on competition issues.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing plans for the conduct of investigations and/or projects.
  • Identifying suitable resolutions for identified actions, changing market behaviours, activities and issues and providing recommendations.
  • Preparing for litigation in the Federal Court including drafting briefs for lawyers and counsel and obtaining witness statements.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, law or similar fields, enabling you to make informed decisions and drive results.
  • A strong understanding of competition laws and regulations, allowing you to navigate complex issues and find solutions.
  • Experience leading and managing investigations into complex matters and/or competition law issues, ensuring effective outcomes and minimal risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake objective, systematic analysis to draw accurate conclusions, critically assess and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Strong written drafting skills, with experience in producing high-quality documentation that meets business needs.
