This role plays a pivotal part in the operational execution of the buying strategy for Witchery Apparel, ensuring product assortments meet financial, customer, and brand objectives through close collaboration with the Head of Buying, design, planning, and production teams.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute buying strategies that align with business goals and market trends, serving as the voice and advocate for the customer.
  • Establish compelling and differentiated product assortments, in conjunction with design and planning counterparts, that resonate with target customers in terms of fashion, quality, style, price point, and perceived value.
  • Display an entrepreneurial approach to the business, proactively seeking and suggesting opportunities to improve the product range to drive financial performance and maximise sales.
  • Deliver product assortments that drive overall category/channel goals, driving commerciality to ensure they deliver sales/brand metrics.
  • Ensure category product assortments/ranges meet all margin KPIs in collaboration with production development counterparts, facilitating innovation in category product mixes through range assortments to maximise category sales.
  • Contribute towards SWOT and post-seasonal product review meetings, making recommendations, including reviewing best and worst sellers, style, print, and colour analysis.
  • Liaise with counterparts to review weekly trading, recommend adjustments to product, repeats, and plans, driving sales, and manage in-season performance.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in buying or merchandising with a proven track record of delivering successful buying strategies in a fast-paced retail or omnichannel environment.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute buying/product strategies that align with business goals and market trends.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and inventory management, to drive profitable buying decisions.
  • Strong understanding of customer preferences, leveraging data-driven insights to create product assortments that resonate with target audiences.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product construction and has proven expertise in delivering margin KPIs of profitable product assortments.
