Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair work on various facilities, equipment, resources, and infrastructure during business hours, with after-hours and weekends required as needed.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work independently or as part of a team to provide reactive and programmed maintenance to Explorers Early Learning Centres. You will be required to carry out a variety of maintenance repairs, painting, and gardening tasks, potentially working outside regular working hours across Monday to Friday, including weekends and after-hours.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on facilities, equipment, resources, and infrastructure;">
  • Work independently or as part of a team to provide reactive and programmed maintenance;">
  • Carry out a variety of maintenance repairs, painting, and gardening tasks;">
  • Work outside regular working hours across Monday to Friday, including weekends and after-hours if required.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a maintenance or tradesman role;">
  • A Construction Industry White Card for safety compliance;">
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30 are a plus;">
  • A Trade certificate (preferred but not essential);">
  • A Working with Children check (or willingness to obtain);">
  • A Driver Licence;">
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, focusing on resolving maintenance issues quickly and effectively.">
