Multi-Skilled Electrical Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective high-quality service in respect of undertaking maintenance, repairs, and modifications to a wide range of electrical/mechanical/building services within the Trust.

This will consist of Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing, calibration, fault finding, emergency response, defect correction, and new works.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Perform repairs and modifications to plant, equipment, systems, and building structure/fabric
  • Conduct testing and calibration to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform defect corrections
  • Undertake new works projects as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A recognized trade apprenticeship and BTEC HNC/diploma in Engineering or equivalent City and Guilds qualification
  • Practical and professional theoretical engineering knowledge acquired through a diploma plus significant equivalent experience in their specialist field
  • Mandatory and statutory training according to Trust policy and as identified in the Trust appraisal process
  • Specialist accreditation courses for inspection and testing, portable appliance testing, pressure systems, L114 safe use of woodworking machinery, HTM authorized person in appropriate discipline
