Auditing Opportunity in a Growing Firm
With over 20 years of experience in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, our award-winning recruitment group offers a fresh opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join a globally recognized mid-tier accounting firm. This role is based in Townsville, where you will have a chance to work closely with partners and managers who are supportive mentors.
We're looking for candidates eager to establish roots in the area and take on new challenges. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing audit engagements, managing all phases from planning to completion. You will also oversee invoicing, billing, and work-in-progress for your client portfolio and supervise and mentor junior audit staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audit engagements, managing all phases from planning to completion
- Oversee invoicing, billing, and work-in-progress for your client portfolio
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff
- Collaborate with Partners and Managers to ensure high-quality client deliverables
- Communicate directly with clients to coordinate fieldwork and finalize financial statements
- Travel to client sites around Australia as needed
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BCom or BBus), minimum of 2.5 years of audit experience in an Australian accounting firm/global accounting firm, CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion. Strong communication skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships are essential. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience.
