Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice on Work Health and Safety matters to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement effective WHS policies, procedures, and programs to maintain compliance with ADF and Commonwealth WHS policy and legislation.
- Conduct regular audits and monitoring to identify and mitigate WHS risks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate WHS advice and guidance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Formation Safety Managers and local-level WHS representatives.
- Proven experience in providing WHS advice and guidance in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions in a proactive and dynamic manner.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
