About the Opportunity:
Catherine's House Inpatient Unit is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a shift-working specialist. The successful applicant will work a combination of 12-hour shifts across a 7-day period, providing high-quality care to mothers and fathers experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing contemporary mental health care to mothers or primary carers, supporting them to develop parenting skills and improved early attachments with their baby. You will also contribute to a supportive working environment, promoting positive team culture and playing an active role in your own professional development.
Key requirements include AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, authorisation as a Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) in Queensland, and recent experience working in an acute mental health unit. Experience working in Perinatal Mental Health is highly desirable.
