About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Banquet Server to join our team at Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk, a luxurious hotel in the heart of Dubai. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver seamless service, communicating with colleagues and management as needed.
  • Upsell and promote hotel services and amenities to guests, increasing revenue and enhancing their experience.
  • Manage cash and credit transactions accurately, handling customer payments and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of respect and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Secondary education
  • Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience
  • Previous public contact
  • Average reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
  • Good communication and customer contact skills
  • Basic F&B product knowledge
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
