Role Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist to join our Specialist Medical Inpatient Service at Western Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychological assessment, individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation to patients with complex health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Work collaboratively with the treating team and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' psychological needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide supervision and support to postgraduate trainees as required.
Requirements
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Clinical Psychologist or Health Psychologist.
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a specialist medical inpatient service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
