Job Overview:

The Diversional Therapist plays a key role in delivering quality diversional therapy activities to a specified client group within a community health care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of diversional therapy programs for clients with diverse needs.
  • Promote access and client involvement by participating in community-based initiatives.

The Team:

Our multidisciplinary team comprises healthcare professionals working together to provide comprehensive care to the island community. The Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre offers a range of services including aged care, physiotherapy, x-ray, podiatry and visiting services.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • Experience in working with older adults and people living with dementia is highly desirable.

Employment Details:

This is a permanent, part-time position working 16 hours per fortnight. Negotiable start date with flexibility to accommodate the successful applicant's needs.
