Welcome to Macquarie, a global financial services group operating in 34 markets. We're looking for a highly skilled Cybersecurity Governance Manager to join our Technology Cybersecurity team.

About the Role

In this key position, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop, enhance, and manage Macquarie's cybersecurity governance and risk management processes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the company achieves its business goals securely by communicating with internal leadership teams and subsidiary board risk committees.

As a Cybersecurity Governance Manager, you will also work with the Cybersecurity team to assess risks and implement initiatives that enable us to meet regulatory expectations. This includes threat intelligence, incident response, cyber assurance, security by design, information protection, and privileged and user access management.

We're offering a competitive salary of approximately $150,000 per annum, plus benefits such as hybrid working arrangements, wellbeing leave days, paid parental leave, and donation matching.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity governance and risk management principles
  • Strong passion for cybersecurity with knowledge of information security strategy and principles
  • Familiarity with common information security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001)
  • Technology knowledge across the cybersecurity domains, including cloud security
  • Experience in Operational Risk, Technology, Internal and/or External Audit gained within a financial institution or professional services firm
  • Ability to articulate cybersecurity issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology or a related area complimented by industry qualifications or relevant postgraduate degrees
