We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at the Bristile Roofing Plant in Wacol, QLD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical systems within the plant are well-maintained, identifying potential preventative maintenance requirements, and participating in continuous improvement activities and projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager and other team members to achieve our goals. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults with machinery and equipment, ensuring safe working conditions, and using various tools to fit and assemble parts. Additionally, you will maintain all the machinery in the plant to ensure efficient operation, complete planned maintenance, handle unexpected issues, and carry out any requested maintenance jobs effectively.

Success Requirements:

  • Mechanical Fitting Trade qualification;
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, welding, and fabrication;
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and understanding of PLC operation (desirable);
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans, and specification;
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills;
  • Strong time management, administration, and organisational skills;
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime;
