Job Title: Supervisor/Manager - Growing CA Firm

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor/Manager to join our team at Lawson Elliott, a thriving firm located in Sydney's CBD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accounting, taxation, and advisory services to our clients, as well as mentoring and reviewing the work of junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team and work with the Partner to manage the day-to-day operation of the office
  • Review and prepare tax returns and financial statements
  • Communicate with clients, respond to their queries, and manage their expectations
  • Work on complex tax issues, including Division 7A loans, FBT, and CGT
  • Deal with regulatory bodies such as the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients
  • Provide training and mentorship for junior staff members

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualification
  • 5+ years' experience in an Australian firm
  • Experience reviewing, mentoring, and training junior staff members
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to multitask, manage priorities, and deliver exceptional customer service
