Job Title:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Officer to join our team.

  • This is a key leadership role that requires the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust security governance frameworks across Defence systems and information assets.
  • The successful candidate will have expertise in risk management, threat analysis, and mitigation strategies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Defence data.
  • They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices that align with national and international standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role, as they will provide expert advice and guidance to Defence stakeholders and project teams on security matters.
  • Additionally, the Senior Information Security Officer will conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to prevent cyber threats and data breaches.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats, and be able to maintain awareness of industry developments to inform their decision-making.

Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Proven experience in information security management, risk assessment, and vulnerability management
  • Expertise in ISO 27001, ACSC Essential 8, and Defence Security requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
