We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment – Conduct thorough assessments of patients with Paediatric Feeding Disorder, paediatric dysphagia.
  • Treatment Planning – Develop individualised treatment and therapy programs with short and long term goals.
  • Clinical Documentation – Complete clinical documentation and perform administrative tasks as required.
  • Caseload Management – Prioritise own caseload and participate in relevant clinical review meetings and case conferences.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Support and liaise with patients, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health, support staff, external agencies, and the private sector to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care.
  • Educational Services – Educate patients/carers in assessment, treatment, and post-discharge management, and organise discharge summaries/referrals as necessary.
  • Professional Development – Promote professional values and ethics in clinical practice and participate in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice.
  • Research and Quality Improvement – Participate in evidence-based clinical research activities and quality improvement initiatives where required.
  • Supervision and Support – Supervise and support Allied Health Assistants and students to deliver effective services as per Speech Pathology Australia recommendations.
  • Professional Growth – Attend relevant training sessions offered by SJGHC, complete all annual mandatory and unit-based competencies, and maintain and strengthen own professional knowledge and expertise.
