Our business is seeking a skilled Meat Specialist to work with premium meats in our team at Macquarie Park. The role involves adhering to our natural and additive-free standards.
The ideal candidate will have relevant trade qualifications or certifications in butchery or meat processing, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a butcher or meat processor.
- Preparing premium meats for sale
- Crumbing, marinating, seasoning, and curing special cuts
- Selecting and preparing meat for smallgoods and sausages
- Operating machinery to grind, mix, mince, tenderise, and fill sausages
- Advising customers on the suitability, cooking methods, and uses of different cuts of meat
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing stock levels, monitoring inventory, placing orders to maintain a consistent supply of quality meat, ensuring all meat is stored correctly, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the workspace, following food safety regulations, and training junior staff in butchery techniques, processes, and food safety compliance.
