Job Overview

The Lead Project Controls professional plays a pivotal role in driving project objectives to on-time and on-budget completion. This involves leading a team of project controls specialists, leveraging their expertise in cost engineering, planning, and scheduling, budgeting, change management, progress measurement, and forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically identify and assess best-fit solutions, take ownership of project decisions, and monitor and manage impacts to value across the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies, implement prioritization methodologies, and identify key investment drivers to effectively manage key requirements across the portfolio.
  • Develop project objectives and schedules, identify critical activities, monitor the project plan, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
  • Predict, forecast, and benchmark project costs and estimates in line with industry standards and practices.
  • Analyze complex problems, determine underlying causes, and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Identify, engage, and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
About You / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in project cost control and cost systems.
  • A track record of delivering value through effective project controls leadership.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business (Finance/Accounting), Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
Location

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, working a Monday to Friday roster with a 3-2-1 arrangement - three days from the office, two days from home, and one day at your discretion.
