About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and patient individual to work with vulnerable people and their families in the Southwest Brisbane and Logan areas. As a Disability Support Worker and Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication.
- Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and other domestic duties.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant authorities.
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card
- Blue Card preferred
- Certificate 3 in Disability Support or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Driver's license and reliable transport
- Fully COVID vaccinated and Booster as per QLD Health Regulations
- Flu Vaccination
- Valid rights to work in Australia (Passport, Birth Cert., etc.)
- Manual Handling Training and Hoist experience
What We Offer
- 20 to 40 hours per week
- Weekly salary ranging from $800 to $2,000
- Weekdays - $30 per hour
- Saturdays - $40.41 per hour
- Sundays - $51.95 per hour
- Public Holidays - $63.50 per hour
