Nurse Clinician

At GenesisCare, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team in Albany, Western Australia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to ensure exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical care, education, and support to patients, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met.
• Interact with patients, undertake education, wound management, and drug administration.
• Effectively manage nursing patient load and facilitate effective communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
• Provide patient feedback to doctors and radiation therapy staff, ensuring all patient episodes of care or interventions are documented, communicated, and actioned.
• Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice nursing standards.
• Ensure medication management protocols are followed and establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool.
• Comply with patient handover procedures as per ISBAR communication tool and support the clinical introduction of new medications/drugs and nursing products.

Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Clinical experience as a nurse with demonstrated understanding of oncology and ability to liaise with allied health care.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
• Strong commitment to quality patient care.
• Commitment to or evidence of continuing professional development.
• Wound care management experience.
• Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office.
