The Role

We are seeking a Personal Care Worker to join our team at CraigCare Moonee Ponds on a part-time basis, working night shifts. As a Personal Care Worker, you will work under the guidance of our Registered Nurses to assist our residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their care needs are met and their quality of life is enhanced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and autonomy.
  • Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Implement care interventions delegated by Registered Nurses, as documented in the resident's care plan.
  • Contribute to the overall quality of life of our residents, addressing their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Quality of Care Principles.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work a roster with set shifts.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use care software.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or currently working towards).
  • Previous experience in aged care is preferred but not essential.
