Lead River Operations Manager

GoBoat Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our operations team and drive the success of our river-based tourism business.

We're looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, who can motivate and train a small team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless boat operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing daily operations, leading a team, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily boat operations and maintenance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for customers.
  • Lead and supervise a small team of crew members, providing training and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including daily schedules, staff rotas, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement local marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategies to grow the business and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train a small team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and weekends.
  • First Aid/CPR certification, with a willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
  • Driver's License and Coxswain ticket (desired but not essential).
