RAMJO is a legislated grouping of regional councils in NSW, comprising 11 councils. The organisation works to create a thriving region through strategic planning, priority setting, advocacy, and engagement with governments and stakeholders.

The role of the Interim Executive Officer is crucial in fulfilling the obligations of the position, working closely with the Board, General Managers, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting the permanent Executive Officer, collaborating with human resources teams, and contributing to the long-term sustainability and well-being of the region's communities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Work with the human resources team to recruit and onboard the permanent Executive Officer
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and priorities for the organisation
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to advance the interests of the organisation and the region

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in executive-level roles, preferably in local government or a related field
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships
  • Education: Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in business, public administration, or a related field
