Our store in Melbourne's East is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work with a fun and colourful retail environment that specialises in women's footwear and accessories.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the success of our store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will contribute to the overall management and operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, offering product recommendations, and resolving any inquiries or concerns.
  • Training and supervising sales associates to ensure they deliver excellent service and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborating with the Store Manager to create visually appealing displays and merchandise layouts that highlight our products effectively.
  • Monitoring sales performance and identifying areas for improvement, implementing strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Contributing to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised store environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers.

Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or assistant management role.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Sound knowledge of women's footwear and accessories, including current fashion trends and brands.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
