About the Role

Purearth Foods, a leading Australian family-owned business, is seeking an experienced Operations Director to drive the company's growth and success. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future strategy, improving operating processes, and contributing to the company's strong organisational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 7 direct reports and approximately 60 individuals across Production, Engineering, S&OP, Procurement, and Logistics.
  • Oversee P&L management and CAPEX spending, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing quality, productivity, safety, and customer centricity.
  • Provide hands-on leadership while operating strategically at the SLT level.
  • Collaborate closely with all layers of the team to build in-house capabilities and ensure operational excellence.
  • Manage and engage with senior stakeholders internal and external.
  • High level of customer engagement and a critical role in supporting new business development.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in leading operations within the Dairy industry; UHT experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end operations, within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • An energetic, approachable, hands-on leadership style coupled with a high level of professionalism.
  • Expertise in change management and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • A proven track record of successfully identifying areas of impact and driving results.
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders and reporting at a c-suite and board level.
  • Background in larger FMCG/dairy businesses is advantageous, provided you can demonstrate a hands-on, self-sufficient approach.
