Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Graduate Software Engineer to join our Technology Core Team in Sydney, reporting to the Engineering Manager – Tools & Capabilities. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering systems, platforms, and infrastructure that underpin Symbio's products globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance systems to manage and monitor our infrastructure platforms.
  • Ensure the security and quality of our infrastructure through enhancements and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of customer-facing products.
  • Collaborate in modernizing our tech stack as we develop and rollout new features and capabilities.
  • Complete all required training throughout the two-year Graduate Program.
  • Commit to two years of learning and product delivery while in the Program.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A recently completed university degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering related fields, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in Frontend: HTML/5, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript.
  • Knowledge in Backend: Javascript (NodeJS), Python, Golang.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Gitlab, Puppet, and Terraform is an asset.
  • Some experience in software engineering roles.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.
