Job Description:

  • We are seeking to establish a pool of English as an Additional Language/Dialect teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies.
  • Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and deliver high quality programs and teaching strategies that engage young adult learners and motivate students to succeed with their studies toward university entry.
  2. To create and deliver a Year 10 EALD program that expands and enriches students' learning experiences.
  3. To demonstrate highly effective communication skills and strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students from a broad range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ambitious and innovative teacher with sound curriculum knowledge of the Year 11 and Year 12 Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) English as an Additional Language/Dialect courses.
  • Proven success teaching WACE courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver a Year 10 EALD program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a unique school context.
