About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team on a Casual basis. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered active support to individuals with disabilities in one-to-one settings
  • Assist in the creation and monitoring of individual goal plans or follow planned programs, as directed
  • Complete required documentation and progress notes as required
  • Promote a stimulating, caring, and culturally appropriate environment for individuals with disabilities
  • Provide self-care, social, and emotional support to individuals with disabilities
  • Use positive behavior support strategies and authorized restrictive practices where required
  • Willing to complete sleepover shifts attending to individual needs
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including Team Leaders, peers, and management

About You

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has demonstrated experience supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Is dedicated to person-centered support principles and individualized support practices
  • Can complete job tasks in accordance with individual plans in a timely manner
  • Can apply understanding of 'duty of care' to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed
  • Can write and maintain accurate written records and documentation
  • Can use clear and concise language in verbal communication
  • Is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with disabilities

Requirements:

  • Criminal History Check (must be less than 6 months old)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • A current 'C' class driver's license and a roadworthy, registered, and insured vehicle
