Workforce Planner Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Workforce Planner to support our operations team in aligning people processes and planning to optimise performance.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in workforce/resource planning, rostering, logistics, hospitality, village accommodation environments. They will also have a solid understanding of workforce operating models, planning methodologies, and JD Edwards comprehensive ERP solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with operations leadership to align workforce planning with business strategy and site needs.
  • Support workforce planning across forecasting, scheduling, rostering, mobilisation, and real-time optimisation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, HSE, Supply Chain to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop tailored workforce optimisation strategies for each village to boost efficiency and labour cost control.
  • Use workforce management systems to streamline planning processes and analyse performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on operational data and trend analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise agreements, rostering conditions, maintain qualification induction records.
  • Assist with labour modelling and what-if analysis to support operational financial planning.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Technology or Law.
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce/resource planning, rostering, logistics, hospitality, village accommodation environments.
  • Strong understanding of workforce operating models, planning methodologies.
  • Solid experience with JD Edwards comprehensive ERP solution.
  • Proven ability to optimise complex operations, balancing client needs and internal resource constraints.
  • Solid working knowledge of process analysis, process mining activities, implementing industry best practice.
  • Solid grasp of business operations best practice frameworks, workforce management.
  • Demonstrated experience reporting workforce planning Key Performance Indicators.
Skills:

You will need to possess the following skills:

  • Advanced MS Office suite skills including Excel.
  • JDE JD Edwards enterprise resource planning software suite Oracle.
  • Kronos Time Attendance platform integrated workforce management tools.
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, problem-solver.
  • Highly organised, capable of prioritising in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient digital systems programs analysis reporting management.
