About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BOP Resident Engineer to join our team on a major pump storage hydro scheme in Australia. Our client is leading the JV responsible for the design of this project, specifically in charge of the full detailed design of the underground Power Station.

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with international teams, manage complex interfaces, and contribute to one of the most significant hydroelectric projects in Australia. As an Electrical BOP Resident Engineer, you will be part of the resident DJV team, working on the Balance of Plant (BOP) packages.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Update deliverables based on Client's/Employer's comments with support from the Head Office (HO) team.
  2. Participate in closing comments on Design Deliverables, coordinating with production teams based in Europe.
  3. Collaborate with teams in charge of civil engineering design to manage internal interfaces with BOP design.
  4. Coordinate BOP interfaces with other designers.
  5. Participate in internal and external technical meetings to address comments.
  6. Engage in resolution meetings and workshops regarding technical comments.
  7. Manage replies to bidders' questions/comments as requested by the Client with support from the HO team.
  8. Contribute to tender analysis reports upon the Client's request.
  9. Handle post-IFC design modifications for minor changes requested by the Client/Employer, coordinating with the HO team for major changes.
  10. Review and approve 'Manufacturing Drawings'.
Electrical BOP Scope Includes
  1. Single line diagrams (LV distribution)
  2. Installation of equipment and routing
  3. Electrical panel design
  4. Routing drawings
  5. Cable lists and calculations
  6. Lighting
  7. Power Balance
  8. Management of interfaces
Requirements
  1. Educational Background: Master's degree in electrical engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years.
  3. Key Competencies: Expertise in low voltage electricity, autonomy, teamwork, effective communication, attention to detail, and technical curiosity.
  4. Software Proficiency: Office suite, AutoCAD. Additional software appreciated: REVIT MEP, Naviswork, Dialux, Caneco BT.
  5. Sectoral Experience: Prior experience in electricity production, preferably hydroelectric.
  6. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
