Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Analyst (Procurement) with Halcyon Knights, you will play a pivotal role in supporting procurement activities and managing large-scale contracts for the state government department. Your responsibilities will include reviewing current reports to assess cost structures and pricing methods, conducting market cost analysis and cost-benefit evaluations to support procurement strategies, and collaborating with Category and Contract teams to establish cost models and price adjustment methodologies.

About the Role:

  • Review current reports to assess cost structures and pricing methods.
  • Conduct market cost analysis and cost-benefit evaluations to support procurement strategies.
  • Analyze pricing methodologies from other jurisdictions.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Category and Contract teams to establish cost models and price adjustment methodologies.

Tendering and Relationship Management:

  • Analyze tendered prices to assess value for money.
  • Evaluate financial viability using Dunn & Bradstreet Reports or similar.
  • Prepare written summaries of pricing analyses for Purchase Recommendations.
  • Work closely with Principal Category Managers to facilitate strategic procurement planning.
  • Engage with Contract Management to oversee existing expenditure.

About You:

  • Experience in financial analysis within large corporate environments, ideally related to government or procurement.
  • Familiarity with Agile Procurement processes is a plus.
  • Flexible and able to prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Capable of working autonomously.
  • A strong communicator, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
