Artificial Intelligence Engineering Manager

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting-edge artificial intelligence models into production. This role involves collaboration with researchers and engineers to bring new models from prototype to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model Development & Deployment:
    • Collaborate with researchers to develop and deploy diffusion-based generative models into production.
    • Build and maintain production pipelines for inference optimisation using techniques such as quantisation, distillation, caching, and multi-GPU parallelism.
    • Optimise inference speed, reliability, and efficiency while ensuring systems are intuitive and maintainable.
  • Infrastructure & Operations:
    • Develop automated infrastructure pipelines covering training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
    • Design and implement CI/CD workflows for machine learning that make handovers from research to production seamless and safe.
    • Create scalable data pipelines and storage solutions to support high-throughput workloads.
    • Set up clear monitoring and alerting for model performance.
  • Platform Enhancement:
    • Be embedded in other teams to support high-impact projects requiring deep AI expertise.
    • Develop shared tooling, reusable workflows, and architecture patterns to help teams build and ship faster.
    • Promote knowledge-sharing, best practices, and scalable solutions across the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Experience deploying diffusion-based or similar generative models into production.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as LoRA or diffusion for inference optimisation.
  • Strong Python skills and focus on writing clear, maintainable, and collaborative code.
  • Ability to design scalable data pipelines and storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL).
