Construction Project Lead

Arete Concrete is a leading provider of premium concrete solutions across South East Queensland.

Known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in commercial and architectural concrete projects, we're expanding—and seeking a Construction Project Lead to oversee construction operations and deliver projects that set a new standard in the industry.

About the Role

As a Construction Project Lead, you'll take charge of multiple projects from planning to completion. You'll manage construction operations, lead teams, and ensure every project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership and relationship-building skills will be key to driving operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily operations across multiple construction sites.
  • Strong commercial and multi-level construction experience.
  • Emphasis on concrete structure knowledge, including formwork and concrete operations, pricing, and processes.
  • In-depth concrete/formwork knowledge.
  • Contract negotiations with subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless execution.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and internal teams to align on project objectives.
  • Oversee and coordinate the sales pipeline and negotiate new work opportunities.
  • Review labour, risk, and progress regularly to ensure targets are met.
  • Set and manage project budgets, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports to stakeholders with solutions-focused updates.
About You

5+ years' experience in construction or site/project management (concrete/formwork background preferred).

Proven Construction Management experience.

Strong leadership skills and proven experience managing high-performing site teams at high paces.

Confident in contract negotiation and client engagement.

Proficient in project management software and construction methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving.

Deep understanding of Australian building codes and OH&S standards.

Proactive and hands-on, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Positive and driven attitude.

In-depth understanding of both structural and architectural design, processes, and interpretation of drawings.
