Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems and components for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, managing timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into our projects.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within the overall project scope.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure compliance with specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years electrical engineering experience, ideally in a consulting environment
  • Previous consulting/design/technical experience in the Buildings and/or defence industry as an electrical engineer, including LV, communications/ICT, security, and vertical transport experience
  • Registration as a Chartered Engineer/Chartered Professional Engineer/RPEQ (or the ability to become so within 6 months)
  • Project management and proposal preparation experience, along with the ability to write clearly and fluently about technical subjects or project delivery methodologies
  • Ability to prepare and verify design calculations using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications
  • Exposure to business development and marketing activities would be highly regarded
