This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a trading floor desk quant position in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative development with deep knowledge of global markets and cross-product trading products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical consultation and tactical development
  • Strategic development and data advisory

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a numerical field (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computer Science) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • A highly quantitative individual with demonstrated development experience in Python, C++, or C#
  • Experience with SQL for data modelling and discovery, as well as 3rd party financial software vendors (Bloomberg, Factset, Reuters, Iress, Barra, etc.)
  • Demonstrated passion for solving problems using technology

This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a leading investment banking firm. The ideal candidate will be a highly quantitative individual with demonstrated development experience in Python, C++, or C#, alongside SQL and 3rd party financial software vendor experience.

About the Role:

This role is a conduit between the technology and trading teams, seeking technical quant analytics support. The successful candidate will work closely with internal trading teams and the Investment Technology team.
