Medical Registrar

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated medical professionals to join our team as Registrars in General Medicine at Mater Hospital Brisbane.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for medical graduates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Registrar in General Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing inpatients and outpatients, and participating in ward rounds and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and implement plans of management for patients under the supervision of senior medical staff
- Determine and initiate appropriate investigations and procedures
- Coordinate consultation with other specialty departments and services
- Interact with other health professionals to provide ongoing clinical care to patients
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Provide supervision, feedback, and teaching to junior medical staff and medical students
- Communicate with patients and their families about diagnosis and management
- Participate in research and quality improvement activities
- General medical registration with AHPRA
- At least 2 years postgraduate experience
- Experience in hospital-based internal medicine
