Job Title

A Practice Partner is required to enable the State's practice uplift goals, providing coaching and advice on quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), ensuring nationally consistent teaching and learning support.

  • This role involves coaching and supporting centre teams, strengthening teaching and learning practices for all children, including those with additional needs.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Coaching and Advice: Provide high-quality coaching and advice on teaching and learning for all children.
  2. Quality Improvement Plan: Work directly with centres to deliver their Quality Improvement Plan actions in a coaching and modelling capacity.
  3. State Learning Frameworks: Support implementation of state learning frameworks across your region, focusing on high-priority centres.
  4. Currency and Expertise: Maintain currency and expert knowledge of relevant ECEC frameworks and Australian practices.
  5. Key Practice Uplift Initiatives: Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning team to identify and implement key practice uplift initiatives.
  6. Safety Outcomes: Develop working relationships with Operations Team to support safety outcomes.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from a recognised university.
  2. Practice-Based Experience: Extensive recent practice-based teaching experience (birth to 8 years).
  3. A&R Process: Strong understanding of A&R process and Exceeding Themes.
  4. Degree Training: Experience in delivering high-quality training to centre-based teams.
  5. EYLF and NQS: Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework, state guidelines and NQS.
  6. UN Convention: Understanding of United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  7. Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, evaluation and team leadership skills.
