About Us

The AFL's shared platform services play a crucial role in delivering solutions to various stakeholders, including clubs and internal teams. As a Salesforce Engineer, you will work directly with these groups on solution design, build, implementation, and support.

This role involves collaborating with internal delivery teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective solution design, development, and ongoing support. You will also focus on continuous iterative improvement of the platform.

A Day in the LifeKey Responsibilities:
  • Designing solutions that meet business requirements and needs
  • Solutioning with consideration of current technology and data landscapes, as well as long-term strategy
  • Providing solution estimates and phasing based on available resources and dependencies
  • Collaborating with delivery teams and stakeholders throughout the delivery process
  • Developing high-quality solutions efficiently, conducting thorough testing, and implementing them effectively
  • Creating custom applications, data models, LWCs, trigger frameworks, and unit tests
  • Documenting technical solution designs
  • Supporting production issues and requests, creating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Managing bulk data queries, creations, and updates
  • Contributing to CRM team changes reviews, improving governance, and best practices standards
  • Assisting with Salesforce major release cycles and installed application package releases
  • Other ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required
Our Ideal CandidateCore Competencies:
  • At least 4 years of experience in implementing Salesforce solutions
  • Experience in solutioning and performing assessments on delivery options
  • Knowledge of standard declarative capabilities, such as data modeling, app building, security, and sharing models, as well as permission management
  • Strong hands-on experience with various types of flows
  • Hands-on experience with CICD software development lifecycle processes, Jenkins, and code repositories
  • Hands-on experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Schedules, and Batch
  • Experience with metadata extraction, handling, and migration of all developments, including configurations, automations, packages, and supported metadata
  • Understanding of best practices for coding standards, Apex, LWC, and Security implementations
  • Extensive Salesforce implementation experience, understanding when configuration over code and why
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to handle multiple task assignments, and work independently
  • Data Cloud experience preferred
