About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Counselling Practitioner to join our team in Kingaroy. In this role, you will provide counselling to children, couples, adults, and families, assisting them in managing challenges and improving relationships. You will also facilitate group education sessions for a diverse range of clients, focusing on brief solution-focused therapy, grief and loss, and relationship counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete client intake, including initial and ongoing risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis counselling as required.
• Provide brief solution-focused counselling sessions for children, couples, adults, and families.
• Facilitate psycho-educational or therapeutic group sessions.
• Manage client referrals and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Science from a recognised institution.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and its impact on families.
• Proven experience in intake, risk assessment, case management, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
• Well-developed writing skills, including report writing, case notes, data collection, and data entry.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location of the position. We offer competitive remuneration and salary packaging options to increase your take-home pay.
