About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team at PETstock Retail Pty Ltd.

As a key member of our grooming salon, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and services to our furry friends and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality grooming services to a variety of breeds, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, and clipping.
  • Provide a positive and memorable experience for all customers and their pets.
  • Coordinate the grooming salon and clients in conjunction with the Store Manager.
  • Make client bookings and manage the salon's schedule.
  • Assist the store shop floor team when required, including stock management and sales support.
  • Work with the team to achieve and exceed sales targets and meet member program expectations.
  • Support local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs.
Requirements
  • Experience in professional dog grooming is essential.
  • Qualification in Grooming is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of specific breed clips and the ability to create and embed strong safety practices across the salon and store.
  • Physical fitness is required, as you may be required to lift heavy animals.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling and working with live animals.
  • Ability to maintain breed clip and brand/product knowledge and stay up-to-date with zoonotic and skin diseases.
  • Flexibility to meet changing work conditions and prioritize tasks effectively.
