About the Role

We are seeking a Defence Planning Coordinator to join our Defence team and take a lead planning role in the Defence sector. The position is based in Canberra, ACT, and we are looking for candidates based in Canberra or willing to relocate.

As a foundational member of our newly established Canberra office, you have a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth and overall culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and sequence our Defence Sector programme and pursuit of infrastructure works through key Defence clients.
  • Develop our organisational understanding of Defence and Defence policies, systems, and processes.
  • Develop, prioritise, maintain, and coordinate our Defence pursuit pipeline.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure construction methodology is incorporated in project programmes.
  • Develop and maintain a system to ensure an informed and disciplined approach in pursuit of the Defence pipeline of work.
  • Monitor, track, and build corporate knowledge of the Defence client set and key Defence sector stakeholders.


About You

  • Experience in planning and management of complex programmes, preferably in a Defence context, with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, backed by a relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with the Defence Sector.
  • A capacity to plan, risk assess, and prioritise in a complex and changing context.
  • Strong communications skills and preferably experience with a customer relationship platform or software systems.
