About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Facilities Maintenance Professional to undertake general and maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Prioritise and complete allocated work plans in accordance with School/College requirements.
  • Assist with cleaning and repairs as a result of student accidents, extreme weather, acts of vandalism, etc.
  • Plan and organise workflow to accomplish established objectives.
  • Follow chemical usage and storage procedures.
  • Move items of furniture and classroom supplies around and set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events.
  • Complete daily security routines (including school lockup and setting of alarm system) and safety inspections of grounds and equipment.
  • Promote a positive image of the School/College in all interactions.
  • Support other teams during peak loads.
  • Plan and execute maintenance of the school, including gardens, paths, signage, etc.
  • Undertake minor repairs as required, including plastering, painting, and basic carpentry.
  • Identify and report any risks to the school leadership team.
  • Contribute to required committees, for example, the WHS committee.
  • Comply with WHS standards to ensure compliance.
  • Use technology and IT systems proficiently to ensure priority work completion and visibility.
Requirements

Desirable criteria include:

  • Previous experience in a school environment.
  • Qualification in relevant trade.
  • Light to medium rigid license.

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $57,817 and $76,334, depending on your qualifications and experience.
